Keep the surfaces and air in the cold room / fruit and vegetable storage area in optimal condition at all times!

Cold storage / Fruit and vegetable storage area

Storing fruit and vegetables under ideal conditions.

After sterilization at 360°C, the natural process of photocatalysis ranks second in terms of disinfecting power.

It works substantially deeper and more powerful than solutions such as hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, and others.

Its effects on bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, and particulate matter—as well as on ethylene and nitrogen oxides—are spectacular.

Can this process be applied continuously and long-term in fruit and vegetable cold storage rooms?

Yes, it can—and simply, too!

MULTIPURUS is a 100% natural, water-based coating that is completely inert in itself (it does not react with the environment, just as a plastic wall or metal frame does not react with its surroundings).

The natural process of photocatalysis is triggered by the interaction between the coating and UVA light—whether from sunlight or artificial UVA LEDs.

Its deep-cleaning action on surfaces and the ambient air creates the optimal environment for storing fruit and vegetables.

This effect can be easily demonstrated using, for example, an ATP surface test for organic contamination and an air quality test.

As for maintenance: if mud splashes appear on the storage room wall, simply spray them off with tap water; the coating withstands this perfectly well.

Laboratory tests on black mold—cultivated under ideal conditions—showed a 99.8% reduction after 120 hours (while the figure is effectively 100%, laboratories are not permitted to publish it as such).

You can view the test results in the knowledge base on this website. Be sure to check out the remarkable results achieved in the cold storage facilities of the Zaltbommel fruit and vegetable auction—established over a century ago in the Netherlands—on this website starting October 7, 2026.

Continuous photocatalysis creates an optimal climate there, too!

We substantiate the scientific evidence regarding the elimination of ethylene from storage using test results from NEDLAB (ISO/IEC 17025 accredited); you will find these in our knowledge base starting October 7 as well.

Really, there’s nothing more to say, is there?

Let nature do the work!
